The Program Committee invites contributions from students and researchers involved in the carbohydrate chemistry, carbohydrate biochemistry, glycobiology and glycotechnology fields to constitute the oral and poster program of the XXIIIrd International Carbohydrate Symposium.

General Policies and Requirements

  1. Only original material that has NOT been previously presented and describes new contributions in the areas of interest to the conference will be considered. All abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee. Selection of abstracts for the conference will depend on the scientific quality and relevance to the conference.
  2. Paper of a commercial nature will not be accepted.
  3. All abstracts are to be submitted - by the presenting author - electronically, in English, by Tuesday, February 21st. All abstracts will be peer reviewed and those accepted will be assigned to either an oral or poster session.

  4. The Presenting (published) Authors must register by April 24, 2006, and pay registration fees and be present at their poster or oral presentation on the relevant day.

  5. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure accuracy of content, spelling, presentation and formatting. Please ensure it is complete and in its required format prior to submission.

  6. Abstracts must be submitted using the Microsoft Word template supplied on this website. The abstract must be submitted as a word document.

  7. The Abstract must not exceed the one-page limit. Abstracts exceeding the one-page limit or not conforming to the template will be returned for resubmission. Abstracts not meeting the formatting specifications of the template will not be considered by the Program Committee.

  8. Accepted abstracts will be published in a Book of Abstracts and CD-Rom which will be distributed to all ICS2006 Participants.
