This document serves as the official ICS2006 Abstract Template. All format settings have been pre-set as defined below.

The one-page abstract must be set at Letter Size at 8.5" x 11"
(21.59 cm x 27.94 cm), with a 1 inch (2.54cm) margin all around. The font is to be set at Times New Roman 12pt.  Upper and lower case letters are to be used throughout. Single line spacing is to be observed throughout and all paragraphs justified (left and right). First line of paragraph should begin at the .5 inch (1.27 cm) Tab setting.

The abstract should have up to 5 parts, which in order are: (1) Title (written in Title Case), (2) Authors' Names (Initial ONLY, followed by last name), (3) Authors' Affiliations, (4) Abstract Text and, (5) References (optional). There should be a blank line between each of the 5 parts of the completed abstract. The title should be centred and in bold font in Title Case. The presenting author’s name is to be listed first and be underlined. Use superscripted symbols to distinguish authors with different affiliations. Start each affiliation on a new line, starting with the identifying symbol if there are multiple affiliations. Country should follow Zip (Postal Code). eMail address is optional. The Abstract must not exceed one page and must fit within the stated margins and formatting rules. To ensure proper conversion to PDF format, Greek letters, sub- and superscripts should be formatted as such, using appropriate ALT-Key.

If necessary, you should include a reference list in the order they appear in the abstract text. Indicate references with sequential numbers within [square brackets]. The references should start with the authors' names (initial first), followed by the standard abbreviation for the journal, volume number, starting page number and then the year in parentheses. For a book, the book’s title would replace the journal title, followed by the volume, page, and editor’s name, finishing with the publisher’s name, location, and the year in (brackets).

IMPORTANT NOTE: The one-page abstracts will be reduced to 70 % of its original size. The Abstract must not exceed the one-page limit. Abstracts exceeding the one-page limit or not conforming to the template will be returned for resubmission. Abstracts not meeting the formatting specifications of the template will not be considered by the Program Committee.
